The Route & Experience
Far superior in drama and isolation compared to the commercial Pin Parvati or Hampta Pass. The Pin Bhaba trail climbs through thick silver birch woods and flower-carpeted meadows of Bhaba Valley before tackling the razor-sharp glacier ridge of Pin Bhaba Pass (4,890m), dropping directly into the raw, purple-pink canyons of Pin Valley in Spiti.

Drive Shimla to Kafnu & Briefing
Scenic drive along Sutlej river to Kafnu village. Team briefing and equipment check.
Kafnu to Mulling Campsite
Walk alongside the roaring Bhaba river through silver birch and pine forests to Mulling.
Mulling to Karah Grasslands
Gentle ascent through expansive river deltas and vibrant wildflower pastures.
Karah to Phutsirang (Pass Base)
Climb toward the glacier moraines to position for the pass crossing.
Summit Pin Bhaba Pass (4,890m) & Descent to Mangrungse
Early alpine start. Traverse glacier snow fields to the top. Witness the legendary contrast: green Kinnaur on the south, Martian Spiti on the north.
Mangrungse to Mudh Village, Spiti
Hike along the turquoise Pin river to the ancient whitewashed village of Mudh.
Mudh to Kaza / Manali Departure
Transit via Kunzum Pass and Atal Tunnel back to Manali.
